Who is Khatu Shyam Ji

Khatu Shyam is thought to have been active at the time of the Mahabharata. The grandson of Bhima, this Panduputra was named Barbarik. According to mythology, Khatu Shyam granted Shyam the blessing of being worshipped in his name during the Kali Yuga after being deeply moved by his enormous strength and talent. God is more delighted with his followers' faith and devotion than with their repeated acts of worship, rituals, etc. Therefore, having a sincere dedication to and belief in your God is vital.

Barbarik wanted to fight when the Mahabharata war was announced since he was a warrior. He encountered Krishna en route to Kurukshetra. Krishna put his triple arrow to the test and was impressed. He now feared that if Barbarik engaged in combat, he would win the conflict and be left as its sole survivor. Additionally, he reasoned that he would fight from the losing side and switch sides every day, producing the same outcome. Krishna understood that it was necessary to prevent Barbarik from taking part in the conflict. He desired the Pandavas remain alive after the fight.

Barbarik's head was needed for the ritualistic war-starting process, which is why Krishna requested it. Barbarik concurred, but as a final request, he told Krishna that he wanted to see the battle. Barbarik then watches the entirety of the Mahabharata War as Krishna raises his head to the top of a hill. Who won the battle, he was asked at its conclusion? He murmured, "Krishna." Everyone else was simply behaving in the way he desired. Barbarik had a wish from Krishna that his name would recognize him in the Kaliyug. He acquired the name Shyam as a result.
